The European Parliament gave its final green light today to new measures tackling waste, including the introduction of Extended Producer Responsibility for textiles across Europe. With the revised Waste Framework Directive, producers will be required to cover the costs of collecting, sorting, and recycling textile apparel and footwear waste.
Together with our partners – European Branded Clothing Association, EuroCommerce, EURATEX – European Apparel and Textile Confederation, and EuRIC – The European Recycling Industries – FESI welcomes this vote.
